I am interested in swapping an H22 motor into my 02 accord which currently has the F23. I called my garage and they said if i used a motor from http://www.japandomesticmotor.com that it would give me problems with the emissions control. Is there any way around that problem? Would an H23 be better?

 

you probably figured this out... but you need to get the same model year or newer engine from the US, and have a bill of sale, then take it to the referee... otherwise, find someone who would pass smog for you... there's plenty of shady smog places that'll do that for you
