Default Is it safe to have a rim repaired?

I just discovered that I had a crack on 1 of my Rota GT3. I'm planning to visit 2 rim repair shops this weekend but at the same time I'm having second thoughts of having it fixed. Is it safe to have repaired/rewelded? I'm concerned that since its a crack it might open up in the future. Anybody who had thier rims repaired? Thanks guys.

If welded properly, yes it is safe.

It cost me fifty bucks to have the crack welded. I also had some bends taken out as well.

See what the shops say. It may be cheaper to just buy a new wheel, since GT3s are only like $100 apiece.

Try calling Mach III and see if they'll sell you a single piece.
