Buying rims, need help
I'm looking at buying a set of rims off of a guy i met online, rims are in pretty decent shape, except one has a pretty good "scrape" on the lip area, what can i do to check if these are driveable. I was thinking of taking them to a tire shop to have them inspected, any suggestions on what to look for when buying used rims? ANd can rims be repaired. What is the approximate cost of such
Just try to make sure that the lip surface is not bent. Most of the time you can tell right off the bat, but there are always exceptions. Worst case scenario is that the rim wont seal with the tire... so if it turns out to be bent, take it back to the guy that sold it to you and ask for some explaining.
