If that's your budget, you'll be staying SOHC. If B series power is what you want just stick with what you have now and save up.

so what we saying here, ive been looking at a B16a and a B18c, i have no idea how much these engines are worth let alone how much else i have to spend on other parts. would it be a smart move to just buy a car with a B16a, B18c already in? save me time and trouble. Lets say i have $3000 to play with. my engine at the moment is DOHC.
