Serious vibration...HELP!!!!!
OK here's the senerio.I recently installed a new Exedy organic clutch and I decided to have my stock flywheel lightened at the local machine shop while I had it all apart. The shop lightened the flywheel with a lathe so I would assume that is would stay balanced.Well I reassembled everything and also threw on sone energy suspension motor mount inserts while I was at it.Now my car has a noticeable vibration at 850-900 idle but really gets annoying in the 2000-2700rpm range. It does seem to go pretty much away at 3000rpm and up.The clutch grabs fine.Does this sound like the flywheel is out of balance, or it's just the motormount inserts, or could it just be that tyhe 2000-2700 rpm range is creating a resonance that my car doesn't like??????
the motor mount inserts are causing the vibration at idle.
And you should have had the flywheel rebalanced after lightening.
It is possible that the mounts are causing the vibration at 2000 rpm.

just use the rear motor mount insert. Your dentist will thank you.
Also your flywheel MUST be balanced when lighten, esp. when done on a lathe.
8 holes drilled for balancing, in the 9-11 o'clock area.
