Default Carbon Fiber radio cover

Well, my civic was broken into and whatever they can rip out right then and there was taken.. so instead of replacing everything again (yes, this was the 2nd time it got broken into), i decided to remove more and use it more of a auto-x/track car.. we removed the a/c system as well as what was left of the stereo.. but removing the radio left a hole in the dash..

my sponsors gave me some carbon fiber sheets so i can cut them and make a cover out of it.. they gave me the 1.5 mm thick ones which are sturdy enough for the job.. turned out pretty well.. i used a dremel to cut the shape..

end result...

Its so that you dont waste time reaching all the way down to a short shifter. For autox/rr.

it's not meant for show.. it's a simple fix to cover up the hole that's there. i had the b&m short shifter and the damn thing was so low that i couldn't reach it with my harness on.. plus it's horrible if you have to move your body or reach so low during hard cornering..

i tossed it and got the road race shifter.. it comes up almost next to the steering wheel. excellent for when you need to shift a lot (road course), or when you need to keep your eyes on the road (rr/autox).. makes heel/toe easier too..
