205/50/15 or 195/50/15
Hey guys,
I'm gonna need some new tires pretty soon for some slips I just bought. They are 15x6.5 +40mm offset. I'm lowered on H&R sports. I have an EH2. I really don't want to rub at all, but I'd love to have some wider tires like 205's. Will I rub?

I'm assuming 92 civic? You should be safe with either. I have 205/40/16x7's on my 94 dropped 1.8" w/B18B1, no rubbing, although thats ~570mm tall, your tires are ~586 & ~576mm tall respectively. I know that in a 95 ex w/B18B1, 2" drop, 215/40/17's you'll occationally rip out the liners in the front...lol (wasn't my car)
i have 205s on both my cars with the same size wheels as yours.no rubbing problems, unless you ride around lowered 4" like a retard.

205's rubbed on the rear my 95 vx hatch with 15x6.5 +40 offset wheels when I hit bumps or turned really sharp. I had h&r sports and KYB agx's. I would go with the 195's. You will not have any problems with them rubbing and you don't have to waste more money buying new tires that rub.

No swaybars. Rays 15x7 i believe their something around +43 offset. I dont rub pulling into driveways, i just rub when theres like 4 people in my car or when i'm autocrossing.

Isn't that because there's too much positive offset?

15x6.5 wheels = 195/50/15
15x7 wheels = 205/50/15
You will have better handling charactaristics with the 195's on a 6.5 inch wheel. The sidewall won't feel as sloppy as 205's. If you run a 7" wide wheel, 205's are perfect. I have never had rubbing problems with my 205's on 15x7 wheels with a 35mm offset

Yes it will.
Yes it will.
Try Putting 205's on the front, and 195's on the rear, will turn in more and seem to rotate more, creating more of a balance...

15x6.5 wheels with +38 offset and i have 205/50's and they only rub when i turn really hard.
i have gc coils lowered to whatever is right above the tire with kyb agx's.
unless they're azenis, i think you should be fine. 205 azenis are more like 215 tires.
