Default Anyone strip out RSX for racing?

I have a RSX that I am turning into a race car for time trials, HPDE, etc. What the opinions on taking out the heater box and controls. Not sure if it is something you need if it is raining or muggy out? Let me what you guys have done.

Not even worth it, unless your rich and dont give a rats *** about your ride. the heater box savings and underdash will not go over 50 pounds. Get another hatch, maybe a cheapy aftermarket and Lexan the back window. Or for you RSX owners out there, buy a light battery or get the fal window kit. Buy an expensive car to rip **** out of it? I stripped my ef and regret it( underdash, and maninly everything besides two seats and half the dash). There is nothing better than wipping the defrost off your window in the3 rain or sticking your head outside the window to see. I've done it!!!!!

track car=gutted car
Rsx my daddy bought me=nice car

if its a daily drive the most i would do is just remove the rear seats and possibly the front passenger on a track day and then put it back after ...and possibly maybe just a FAL rear window ...but anything else gets kinda unsafe and just a plain hassle ...

but if anyone does stip out their RSX and it has black interior please let me know. I would love to put some of my money in your pocket instead of the dealer. I'm changing my tan interior over to the dark side. lol.

That is the Mugen rear strut bar. It sits glush against the back seat and still allows full operation. It does not connect to the top of the struts though, so a regular strut bar can be ran as well (like Spoon's piece).

you can run all this and still use hte back seats and have people sit back there. i currently have all my interior on, so it works.

WHats the purpose of the strut bars and then that additional one on the top. Does it simple reinforce the body?

Reborn do you still get that flexing the car does when you go over driveways and stuff, each time i do theres a popping in my dash and we the exact same car.

i cant feel any flex when i go over bumps or anyting, on CRAZY inclines and stuff, i can hear some of hte bars gettin some strain, but no big deal. the top one is basically for show, it doesnt do ****.

Nice, im gonna have to get me some strut bars then. The body flexing pisses me off. To pay that much for a car and have it crackle and pop like a bowl of rice crispies just aint right.

Did you get the front strut too? What kind do you have goin and where could i find some for a decent price?

yeah exactly, not all rsx owners are kids... some people have money to make it a track car after they enjoyed it as a weekend car... I know eventually my rsx is gonna be stripped after it has done it's fair share of daily driving, since it sees HPDE's and autox's a lot already... and when it's time for me to graduate something for comfortable... like a TL, etc.
