Which 5th gen. hatch...
Here:
CX - Base model. No options, Light but low powered, no pass. mirror.
DX - Next level up. CX w/ rear wiper, optional a/c, optional tach, 2 side mirrors.
VX - I don't know anything about this trim level, sorry.
SI - Highest end model. D16 VTEC engine, still a d-series though, I belive has power options, sunroof, a/c, etc.
If your looking for a nice DD, I personally would go with an SI. If you want a good mpg car, or something to make into a full fledged street racing car and want it light, I would go CX. Thats just my .02, i'm no Civic expert though.

92 cx.. there light and prewired for vtec... 93's are light also but after 92 the only hatch's that were wired or vtec are Si's , but there slot heavier..... 94-95's the hatches gain alittle more weight, 92-93 are lighter, Cx being the lightest model
