I could use any helpful thoughts. Ive got a 2000 Honda Accord Ex 4cyl, with 60,000 miles. Great car, no problems ever. However, a few months ago since we moved back from Hawaii to California, its making more noises. On cool mornings, it hesitates slightly. After it warms up, its fine except just another slight noise, almost like valves tapping or as if it were a diesel. Very, very slightly. or maybe an tiny exhaust leak. The accelerator was sticking so i used Sea Foam to clean the intake and it helped the sticking and the morning hesitation good for a month, now its back. One bad thing that did happen, in december we noticed a smell of oil burning. Had to refill the engine with oil twice with a can. Took it to a mechanic at the end of the week and there was a pin hole leak in the oil filter. Easy fix. I dont think it affected the engine, no check oil lights or check engine light came on nor did it overheat. Got any ideas on the sounds?
