But be careful. I made one and made it an "normally open" system. My relay died when I was going 70 mph and the engine died.
I'd suggest using the diode, i think my relay got fried because I didn't use it.

Lol. That's a standard SPDT Relay..
Buy one at Radio Shack or something.. Its easier if you use a socket along with the relay.
Read the rest of the site on how a Relay works, it is very informative.. I wouldn't do it any justice trying to decribe it myself.
