How is the quality of the sound system in the S2K?

 

You'll be too busy enjoying the sound of 9000 rpms to worry about the stereo

Just buy some new speakers like i did, sounds much better....

 

i don't mind not having a good system, 'cause i'm just going for looks right now.
it shouldn't bother you enough to change it right away though.

Oh yeah, I hope you like the sound of the S2000 as much as the R, unfortunately I couldn't tell you how they compare.

You can get rear speakers to go behind the seats, Lucid from S2Ki makes custom panels for them he could hook you up, I saw them at the Fall Colors meet and it made a difference. Then get the 2002 tweeters and upgrade the speakers in the doors and get a nice amp to power them all. I wouldn't change the deck unless you can make it compatible with the remote controls on the left side of the steering wheel. I think Alpine makes an adapter.

IMO, the stock stereo works for me, my loud stereo days ended years ago.
