How do you know if a tranny is from a DX or an SI by looking at it? Honda told me they both start with serial number L3something...so how can I tell?

do a search u will find the answer there was a post a while back about it i forget how to tell but there is a way

 

There is a small casting mark, circular shape, Look around you will find it. I think mine was somwhere near the passenger axle.
PLA000 = dx
PL3000 = si

 

Thanks, I just bought one today. I wasn't sure because the guy at honda told me both the DX and SI had the same serial beginning....

Anyway, the one I got says PL3something....

It's all comming together...slowly bur surely!
