D16Y8 (96-00 EX) tranny is the best
should cost around $150-$200

unless you want better gas mileage, stay with the CX tranny.

It will, but the gears will be very very long. Just go with the Ex/Si tranny and you will be a lot better off down the road. Take it from me i have a mini-me and i have a dx tranny and even those gears are longer than hell. I might be getting an Ex/Si tranny soon, but its really your call.
