Default Need some help Converting from Obd2-Obd1

I'm helping my friend switch from obd2-obd1. He has a 01 Accord running a h22a4. I figure the easiest way to go is to run a jumper obd2-0bd1 harness and a p13 ecu. the question is, what obd2-obd1 harness do we use. The A or B.

Thanks in advance.

the obd2b ecu uses the left 3 plugs when you look straight at the ecu,

the obd2a ecu uses the first one on the left and the far right 2.

if you look at your ecu you will be able to tell if it is A or B in which plugs it uses. the 01 ecu (correct me if i am wrong) should be the obd2b

hope that helps and good luck

I also had one more question. If we get the jumper obd2b-obd1 harness, can we just put in a USDM P13 ECU with no problems. Meaning would the car run right just by doing this. I don't know what the differences in the newer h22a4 and the olders ones as far as red line and power is concerned.

if you use a jumper harness for the conversion you shouldn't have to do anything else for it it should work just fine

Quick question to add here:

I have a cylinder head from a 99 and am looking to buy an H22 block (preferably OBD1, since the H23 block in my Lude now is OBD1), but if I can only find a block from OBD 2, I will need the harness and an OBD2 ECU as well right? Plug n play is the idea, but if I have to go from OBD1 to OBD2, how tough is that?

going from obd2-obd1 is basically the same concept i believe is that you can also get a harness for going the opposit way as the other guy is going, you just need a harness, but you have to know which obd2 you are going to tho,
hope that helps
