Default A little problem...

Ok, here's the deal. I had purchased some seats for my 90' DX hatch. Supposedly, they are from a 90' Si and were supposed to match right up. Well, they don't. The rails are of different spacing and I'm not sure what to do. If any of you have an idea in this matter, please help! I would like to know if an 88' or 89' seat could be finagled in there, or at least give me some ideas to point me in the right direction.

Do both rails on the Si seats bolt on underneath the seat, unlike your hatch seats which bolt on the side?

yeah, the rails on the si seats bolt underneath the seat...

take the rails in your car right now and mount
them on the seats u just bought..
the rail spacing on the bottom of the seat is totally different. the rails themselves are different as well...

note: i told xcivickid666 to take the bottom panel from his dx seats and put them on the si seats. the only problem now is the seat back adjustment doesn't have anywhere to bolt too, so he's stuck there.

yeah, I actually have the seats in now, but I still need to figure out, just like Breaka19 said, to find a place to bolt the new seatback adjustment handle. I'll figure out something!

try to reverse drivers w/ passangers. then you will have to add 1 extra mount for the back right (passanger) and back left (drivers). least thats how it is w/ 92 accord seats. should be a similar bracket

I bolted some 91 Si seats to into my 88 DX CRX but I only have 3 screws holding the seats down for now. I'm gonna try that removing that plate from the bottom of the seats... thanks guys...

you may have phantom seats like my friends 88dx... we've taken all kinds of seats and tried to get them in there.... but we can't find another set of rails that will match our mounting points and the previous owner had a integra seat in there but took it and the rails when he sold it too us... we've tried like 10 other 88 dx seats w/ no luck.... it's a freak thing....

Well, the cool thing is is that I got them in, after swapping the bottom pans out of the old ones and into the new ones. It seems to work fine, plus I have all four bolts in! But, my only problem, now, is the seat back adjustment handle. There's no where to bolt it in. I have to fabricate my own place for it, I suppose. Thanks for all the suggestions, though, guys.
