Stock rear muffler section on aftermarket mid pipe?

Stock rear muffler section on aftermarket mid pipe?
Will the stock rear exhuast fit on an aftermarket mid section? I am thinking about taking off my exhuast, but I don't want to go through the hassle of removing the whole thing, could I just get a stock rear section from a junkyard and bolt that on?
btw the car is a 96 Civic EX 4 door

it may depending on the pipe size......the rear section may be smaller and may have to weld it together
