I'm looking into purchasing some used slips from a fellow ht'er. They are 15' (15x6.5) with a +40mm offset. I'll be putting on 205/50/15 tires. I'm lowered on H&R sports (1.8'F, 1.6'R) on AGX's.

Will I rub at all? Is this the perfect offset for my car (eh2)? If not, what is?

same size rims & tires here and car... plenty of clearance. even if the tire is a fat 205 (ie azenis sport) you should be fine

 

So +40mm is the perfect offset for a civic? Or does it depend on how low the car is? Reason I ask is I will eventually upgrade to some GC's and go a little lower than I am now (2 finger gap).

 

 

i THINK that should be fine.. ive seen a +40mm offset of a 16x7 rim and that **** is too wide.. rubbed like hell on a dc2 integra w/ 2+" drop, but it didnt on my 99 civic with 1.8" drop, but it looked too wide.
so i think a 6.5" wide rim should look about right, but i personally have not seen a +40mm offset 6.5" wide rim on a eh

 

What offset do most people run on their hatches here?
