Benson Sleeved B16A Block
Benson Sleeved B16A Block- Bare block with balanced crank, water pump and oil pump. Cylinders have been bored .020 over and o-ringed to ensure sealing at high boost pressures. Block was used for approx. 5,000 miles (about 1000 of which the turbo was installed.) The bottom end was blueprinted by AEBS and is intact except for the pistons and rods, which have already been sold. Pictures available upon request. $650.

I would buy it, but I really want a 1.8L....I have a GSR shortblock that I'll trade you, complete except crank pulley, and water pump...
you guys know what would have to be done to increase displacement without messing around with bore size? I know that somebody came out with some kind of extension above the original deck...let me know and I might buy it. Is the crank still good?

the only problem with the block extension is you'll have to resleeve the block again... which would make it pointless to spend the money to buy my block. i think i have a turbo mag with that article in it. if i find it i'll give you the number of the place that is doing it.
the article you guys are talkin about is about the 2.2 stroker for the ls motor. itwas built by rs motorworks in torrence california. i have the number somewhere i will find it. but as far as the motor goes. i talked to them a while back when a customer of mine asked me if i would build his like that. the idea i great, but costly. the whole motor has to be prepped for it..ie sleeves, custom rods and so on. the exhaust manifold has to be custom made due to the fact that the head will be raised. i know in my case the hood clearance was not possible unless we used a custom hood. it was a crx and im pretty sure it wont clear under any stock hood but dont hold me to it , check into it first. the numbers the motor produced were pettey impressive. i think they were like 230 hp and like 190 ftlbs.i will find the number later and post it for you.
