p73 a0 on a b18c1 usdm ? why make more CR
i resently change my pistons frome my gsr because I blow one using nitros it had a little scratch on the slevees (u cant note it but u can feel it with ur hands )and I decide if I was gonna replace pistons why not change them to p73 a0 (Piston Dome Displacement =3.64) but then my CR is around 10.9:8 , why would that be ? if the stock type R makes around 10.6:4 ?
b18c1/ p73a0 pistons =10.9:8
b18c5/p73a0 pistons = 10.6:4
b18c1/p73a0(1 layer head gasket racing gasket)=11.4:3
why would I make more than the b18c5 cr ? on my b18c1 with oem gasket ?
i did a little research and what i found that it has to be tha the b18c1 has a smalle combustion chamber ? is that right ? I just wanted someone to confimr it ?or could it be thatbc of that slevee crack that I have

Yes, the GSR head has less displacement than the ITR head. The design is different too. Pentroof.

The B18C combustion chamber is smaller than the B16/ITR...yielding higher compression
