How many miles are you guys putting on your motors before you lay down some numbers at the dyno.

im thinking about doing some street tuning soon, and then putting about 500 on it before taken it to the rollers.

I was too chicken, I waited 1000 miles before I boosted it, about 1200 before I dyno'd it

personally I don't think it matters. If you have a good tuner. They will set it right!

Thats a good Idea...You almost always find those little things that needs some touch up after about 100 or so miles.

just make sure you aren't running too rich with a basemap. Might wash out the rings?

important thing to keep in mind is a base map is nothing more than a base ,

that's why im not driving it anymore.

A/F looks good on my gauge, but it does backfire sometimes indicating im running way rich..

No reason why you can't do a street tune. I had an acceptable and safe AFR after 5 mins of driving down the street. Took it to the dyno 2000 miles later for finer ignition tuning.

There's a thread by earl in the FAQ on breaking in engines: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=878397

You should tune it right away according to him.
