skunk2 pro1 vs skunk2 stage2
I've seen Tbone's post of the pro1's vs the buddy club 4's. Im very impressed with them. However my question is how do the pro1 compare to other skunk2 cams?
Here are the specs I have,
PRO1
Int- 257 dur/ 12.57mm lift
Exh-255 dur/ 11.81mm lift
STAGE2
Int- 266 dur/ 12.3mm lift
Exh- 262 dur/ 11.8mm lift
So they seem pretty similar to the stage2's to me, the stage2's having slightly more dur & the pro1's having slightly more lift. So I'd imagine they make very similar peak hp #'s, right?
But the main thing is that the pro1's make more power down low & midrange right? These cams seem to be some of the best midrange cams I've seen, however does this cause them to idle rough or is it pretty good?
And one last question. What CR is recomended as a min. for these cams? 11:1-11.5:1 seems to be the general agreement as a min for stage2's, so what would it be for pro1's.
-Thanks everyone

S2S2's are a tad less agressive then the BC 4s. This is why I went with the S2's VS the 4s' and over the 1's or 3+s'.
Also 11:1 is that magic number where most cams really come into their power range. At least of the ones we are talking about anyway. Of course the more compression you have the better, at least till you start needing race gas to run. Thats when you cross the line and are no longer a "streetable daily driver".
