If you ask me, a manifold is a manifold. They will affect how the engine responds when not in boost, but the only requirement when in boost is for the manifold to flow enough to meet your RPM limit.

If you are maintaining a close-to-OEM rev limit, keep the OEM manifold. The small ports and long runners will help you maintain some low-end, which otherwise might be lost with the altered exhaust, etc.

If the turbo can spool quickly, it doesn't matter much if the manifold causes a restriction. You can always tune the turbo's output to compensate.

The eldebrock manifold only helps in the WAY high RPM's - I wouldn't recommend it if you are not revvvvvvvvin' over the factory limit.

I have always seen them work well on boosted engines.. Dont know about using them on NA ones though..

Anyone I have talked to that has ran the skunk is happy with it. . . keep in mind, that they don't really modify the intake runners. . . so you are really just trading a little bit of low end for a little bit of top end.

Good for the 1/4 though.

How much are you willing to pay for intake manifold ? ... I had a plan to desigh a bigass manifold, like .. with 3" main pipe and 4 x 3/4" pipes to the head ... would come up to about 150 bucks (all almn. pipes) ... will be assembled outside the US

Anyone have any thoughts on the new BBK manifold?

I know they make nice good working manifolds for mustangs....

Same thing as the Edelbrock, only with a different name stamped on it from what I've heard. Check with Marauder, he works at Edelbrock.

Well if that is true...I like it. Its only $259 from summit racing.

Summit seems to show a difference...at least in their descriptions.

Victor X powerband: 6,000-10,000 rpm.

BBK SSI powerband: 1,500-7500 rpm.

ok, my only question is if $300 is a big deal to you, why do you want to buy an intake mani so bad? I mean people are putting down HUGE power with the stock mani... so what do you need a new mani for?

the other thing I'm wondering is how do you have a boosted civic and think spending $300 is a big deal?

haha... i'm a broke college student for 1... ( 50 cents is a big deal to me) for 2. i guess i just dont like the 2 piece H22a mani and just thought i might get a little better power out of an aftermarket one... and for 3. i have a boosted accord.. not civic..
