Pressure on the top ring.Pressure increases sharply when detonating.

Replace the pistons with quality forged ones.The stock cast ls were never designed for boost.

Getting a good solid tune with a standalone fuel management system is your best way to prevent it.. or you can go for aftermarket forged pistons also..

Aftermarket forged pistons or not, too much timing and it will blow. If the pistons don't crack then the sleeves will...
