stupid screws for front brake splash/dust shield ?!
How do people remove the screws (5mm) for the front splash shields? I want to take it off for some brake ducting but the hub blocks access to the screws.

Helms says remove the hub

Is there even a tool that can fit in between it and the hub? Lika an allen wrench kind of screwdriver? There's barely any room between it and the hub when the rotor is out. Or, do people just cut it (don't really like that answer)?
Thanks,

Yeah sounds right. Thanks JDM_DOHC_SiR.
Didn't even notice the dia of the (dust shield) hole is smaller than the hub dia. Was kinda tired putting in my new pads and rotors AND THEN I couln't find bolts (like the rears).
Humm, maybe there's some way to make it possible to put it back (for Gstock/daily driving) ...

Kinda OT but: Somehow my front right shield got bent forward and was rubbing my rotor. I didn't know what in the hell was making that horrible noise. Pulled over and bent the sheild back and viola, sound gone.
I'd love to just take em off. The front doesn't have any shield, why does the back?

I assume you mean bolts, right?
Probably because you need to remove the back shield to change the back pads.
I gave up removing the whole thing. I just snipped the bottom front corner of the shield and pointed some zipped tied heater hose right at that spot. Hopefully, that'll do at the track.
