Default Power steering resevoir leak...

I have a leak on the lower hose to the pump. Does anyone know how to pull the drain from resevoir without having it spill all over? I have heard of using a syringe to pull the liquids out of it, but not sure where i'd find one. Also would I replace both the resevoir and the hose correct?
