Default ZC Question

I got this guy tellin me that you can put a d16z6 head on a zc block. And hes talkin about the DOHC block. I didnt think this was possible but he's still talking about it. He cannot give me any pics or real info. Just wanted to post this up to see if I was right.

Thanks for the response. I have never heard of what this guy was talkin about but I'm not someone to shoot someone down, I will give them a chance to try to prove me wrong.

Ohh to the contrary, you could do (just for arguments sake) it, you just need to tap and run new oil lines. That sounds like the biggest waste of time and money though, the whole point of that swap is that the block's are cheap, why pay for a ZC just to throw the head away? Where's MistaBone at? I get into it all the time with him on quickhonda.net, he doesn't want to beleive that you can put a ZC head onto a D16 block. I'm not in any way recommending this, I'm just saying for arguments sake, it is possible. I have three heads sitting in my room, B16, ZC, and D16, and I checked the ZC on the D16 block because I had a bad crank in the ZC block, it could be done, but lower compression ratio, and you'd have to mod for the oil lines, and mod a D16 headgasket a little bit to make all the coolant passages line up.

How the hell is that possible? How, the Dohc Zc head is way to big to fit the sohc block, I have both these engines, and it seems to me that it takes more than just modifiying the oil lines so it can fit! dohc Head On a Sohc block?>??????

The bolt pattern is exact, the head where it bolts to the block is not any larger at all. I originally thought it was too big too, just by looking at it, until I put them side by side. I have bolted it on my block no problems.
