Default LITER VS BUSA

I hear a lot of crap about how a busa is a dead bike and how a 1000 will corner so much better. this is true a busa is a HEAVY bike that's not meant for racing around a track. i also think that a 600 is more then 99.99% of any of us really need or can handle when its at its peak through the corners. when would any of you ride a bike on the street like you do on the track anyway? i live up in the mountains and its a 45min ride any were. a road i travel a lot! i often think of tearing up the road but cant come even close to the limits of my bike on it. anyway back to the point, we don't all buy bikes to drag out knees through the corners on out way to go buy some eggs. I have a 900RR which isn't quite a 05 liter bike but i can out pull a 750 on it. fine for me... im sure all of you can agree that a 900 is slow through the corners compared to a liter bike as well right? but then again i don't push my bike around the corners when im going to the laundry mat. id love to have a busa, its listed as what kinda bike i would like to ride "sport touring". i don't know anyone who would buy one to enter ama with it lol as an every day bike a busa isn't bad at all (i think) accept for the fact that their style isn't the nicest bike.

--- to make things short (my opinion)

600= more then fast enough, corners better then 99.99% of us will ever be able to take it.
1000= Super fast, Corners Great
Busa=SUPER FAST, great ergonomics(for long rides) fast enough in the corners to satisfy almost any rider on the street

so.. you gotta put a "Rant" warning on the top of your post before anyone else reads it looking for a question or inquiry..

I agree that 600's are all you need (on the street). Some people like the bling of a 900+ and thats pretty much it.

There are people on this board (immortal comes to mind) that can push the limits of their 1000's which is great, but 600's are all that belong on the street IMO

i might be missing the point of your post, but i don't understand why there has been so many debates over the new liter bikes and the busa. they're different bikes with different purposes. companies will build them as long as people buy them. true, many of us can't ride anywhere near the limits of a liter bike, but its like saying, why would ferrari sell the ferrari enzo when something like a modena is clearly more than enough for the average driver. a liter bike has the same appeal of wanting the biggest and baddest vehicle out there and with a price tag that almost anyone with a decent job can afford, people will always give in to the temptation and buy liter bikes.

Pinnacle of technology for cars would be an Enzo. Pinnacle of technology for a bike would be the new 999R.
Kick *** Corvette Z06 would be a Kawasaki ZX-10R.
Refined and still kick *** would be a Porsche 911 Turbo and a R1.
I love car to bike analogies

but the new r1 and zx10r is faster than the new 999r
let me rephrase my analogy...
600 = carrera
1000 = 911 turbo

A better comparison of a 600 vs 1000 is that of a 400hp supra vs a 900+ hp supra.

Anyone with mild skill can drive a 400 hp supra but when you step up to a 900+ hp car, better be careful because much more skill is required and mistakes are magnified.

If I could track one bike, it would be a Ducati. Particularly if the course got twisty.

its almost like you're saying a supra/rx7/etc. are much more track oriented machines than a ferrari.
