Default Gen5 JDM clear corners

tried to install the JDM clear corners on the gen5 accord but for some reason the upper tab wont reach the top screw. since im replacing my stock corners and i have stock headlights on i know its not an alignment issue for the latter

will the JDM corners fit our USDM headlights?

eh? all corner lights should be shaped the same. sounds like you just bought a really crappy set.

I had some "jdm" clear corners, I just pulled mine out and slapped the new ones in.

I'm replacing them with amber ones though because I don't like them.

thats the same corners i got except mine are the stock chrome (not blacked out).

the upper tabs will not line up to the hole where you will screw it in place

you will know what im talking about when you get your corners and try to install them

I remember putting those on a while back. Had to cut off part of the headlight assembly (the black plastic stuff). Wasn't happy doing it, but the look of the outcome made it well worth it.

i havent seen what the back side of the real deal JDM stanely corners look like but I know the depo jdm black housing corners fit only on depo black housing head lights and to make them fit on OEM lights you got to cut the bracket some so I suppose its the same deal with those stanleys.

The aftermarket corners (not true JDM) fit perfectly because they are modeled after the USDM corners

Does anyone have any pics of what part of the tab/housing has to be trimmed??

I have a set of the JDM style corners (like the pic above) but haven't put them in yet.

Thanks!

If they are jdm STYLE, they fit with no mods

i got the jdm amber corners a while ago. i installed one side like nothing but the second side i had the same problem, but then i jus told my friend to push it really hard so the holes will match up and i screwed it on. lol thats not the proper way but it worked

Why isn't it the "proper" way... if it worked, it worked

thats right. had to trim the black portion of the headlight housing (the one immediately behind the corners). the driver side fit into the stock screw hole with little push. the passenger side i had to make a new screw hole
