cold air intake 4th gen
i tried searching but couldnt find the answer to this. i have a 2000 cougar that required cutting a hole to install a cold air intake. does the same go for my 4th gen 93 accord? or is there no cutting required
is that just for instalation? or must the liner stay off? and if i do a h22 swap (i am planning to), will the same intake fit, or must i fab one of my own?
First off, Both of you are completely ignorant! Have you even looked at a 4th gen?! Taking out the fenderliner? Are you mad?
If you are going to do Cold Air Intake on a 4th gen, you will need to remove the bumper to gain access to the air box that is located under the bumper. This box is kind of tricky to take off, but can be done. You WILL need to make the hole bigger to fit the piping down out of the engine bay. The current holes are about 2" in diameter. Most pipings are 2.5" and exit the bay at an angle, so I just used tin snipps to make flaps and a wrench to bend the flaps back to make the hole bigger. Not that hard of an installation. Good luck.
