we are assembling the motor ourselves with Bob Norwood, but with the help of a Golden Eagle and Arias Pistons.

would there be any benefit to having a wider lower contol arm as opposed to a more narrow based arm?

also, is there any relation in mounting point with the rack and the lower control arm as well as the steering arm?

That's as wide as i could go on the control arms, this car is still running 13" wheels so there's not much room for more width with this offset and size rim.

On the rack, it's very important where it's mounted and where the pivots are in relation to the control arm pivots. Read a bit about suspension and bumpsteer and you'll find what you need to know.
