spark plug gap
NGK's website says OE gap is 0.044, but the car's manual says 0.040
that 0.004 is a difference of 10%. why would NGK suggest a different gap size?

Are all NGK gapped right cuz last time I changed my plugs they were gapped correctly I didn't have to readjust anything.
do civics, preludes, and other honda products use the same plugs or different one?

you should always check the gap before throwing them in... after being bounced around during shipping the gaps can be off. also, see how the car runs with both gaps. i had the same issue where ngk had one spec and honda had another. turned out when the plugs were gapped at ngk spec the car didnt want to idle when it was cold and it threw off my smog emissions. the honda gap was the right one.

On overgap of that size should actually help the car perform a tad bit better, also increase your gas mileage. I always overgap my plugs just a bit when I put them in my car.
