Default Tial Wastegate Not Opening

I purchased a tial wastegate (38mm) 2 months ago and all was fine. I ran 7 psi. Then i installed exhaust wrap, reinstalled my turbo manifold, and reinstalled the wastegate, and my wastegate now dosent seem to be opening. I was driving and accidentally went above 12psi. I checked all the lines, and i just dont know how it could have broken. All i can think of is when i installed the wrap, the wrap smoked like crazy, and maybe the heat busted the spring. PLease give me your input. Thanks

Did you use any leaded race gas? Have you checked your diaphragm? Are all of your vacuum lines intact?

make sure you hooked up your vacuum line to the side of the wastegate and that it has a good source of vaccum like brake booster or something strong hope that helps out

i just went out to double check the settings, and everything, the only thing i think it could be is the boost controller. Do wastegates really break this easily, and what would cause the spring to bust/warp

take the boost controller out and just run straight vacuum to the wg that will tell you whether or not it is the boost controller or not

You can easily check it for smooth operation if you have a handheld vacuum pump.
If not any local mechanic should have one.

Use a vacuum pump and pump up the gate manually to check if it opens.

Be sure you didn't swap your side and top fittings on your tial. I know on mine if they are hooked up backwards the BC won't control boost at all. HTH

we set the BC up right. i think that it is something internal but not the spring. this is the second wastegate we have gone through on the car.

How long are they though. if the lines are too long that can cause a problem.
Also did you put the ring in the wastegate in when installing it?
