Carbotech pads, which ones to order?
I'm about to buy some of their pads and I'm hoping you guys can help me pick out ones optimal for my car.
Specs :
2000 Mustang GT
3250lb w/driver
03 Cobra Front and Rear brake upgrade. (13 inch rotors in front, 11.25(I think) in the back)
Motul RBF 600 Brake Fluid
Front and Rear air ducts to cool off brakes
Brembo Plain rotors
BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD Tires (265 fronts, 295 rears)
Use :
40-120mph braking, Typically autocrossing, some road racing
Mostly a "on the road" car (daily driving)
I thinking of getting the Bobcat pads for daily driving and Panther + pads for racing.

what Jeff said. Matt or Larry will be more than happy to help with your decisions. Great Company, Great products!
I likes me some Bobcats for daily driving. I think you may need to step it up to XP8s for track depending on your experience and whatnot. You should call me.....
Sounds good, I'll call you guys up. I didn't want to call and start asking questions only to get a "What the hell are you talking about, I just send the stuff out."
Thanks.
Thanks.

I never saw that you said that, hense why I never replied. I'm sorry, I thought that thread was done and I did not realize you gave me suggestions on pads as well. But holy crap, I didn't realize I still had all that stuff back then, I've sold and bought alot of new parts within those 4 months.

For track use I would get at the least the 1109s but you may be better off with the 1110s in that they are made for heavier cars such as yours. If I had to drive on one pad then I would maybe go with an 1108. I drove my supra on those and did track work and they were fine.
If you are switching between pads, are you switching rotors too? With Carbotechs and many other pads relying on "film transfer" of pad material to the rotor for proper functioning I am not sure what you get if you have one pad material film on the rotor and then lay another pad material on top of it.

Yes, I plan to have a Set of rotors for street pads and a set of rotors for racing. I figured that might effect my braking to have two different types of film on the same rotor. I'm going to confirm this before I go buy a second set of rotors though. I just bought my first set and freaking $300 for brembo blanks for all four wheels. I still have yet to buy my K-Member, A-Arms, Coilovers, Balljoints, Bushings, Pads and Fluids so you can be damn sure I'm researching this crap as much as possible so I don't have to buy anything twice until I need it again.

After years of farting around with this stuff, I've found this is still the best way to do it.
