i know what it looks like on a stock header, i was wondering how you position them on an aftermarket. should one for 2-3 be pointing towards the passenger side and the 1-4 be pointing toward the driver or CAN the bost be pointing toward the passenger side.

I don't think it matters which way they point except for the fact that they may not reach their corresponding plugs on the harness. What matters is which cylinders they sample. i.e. 1/4 and 2/3

dude its wire.
add some extra wire if it doesn't reach. and don't tell me it's ghetto b/c you can do it real clean with solder and heatshrink wrap, etc to make it so you can't even tell it's not oem.

D16A6_HF: yes it is 4-2-1 but that cast top piece weighs about 600 pounds...roughly.
Yeah, it is a decent OEM design, and cast iron is literally bulletproof. No worries about cracking, etc like stainless steel.

no, i don't think thats ghetto. actually thats what i think im going to end up doing. one pointing to the left the other to the right and the one pointing to the right (driver) will probably need a little length of wire soldered in.
i was just trying to see if this was the way to do it or if there is another way to weld the bungs.

Yup cast iron 4-2-1.

Just add wire like the other guy said. it is just a one wire O2 sensor which is very easy to splice nicely with heatshrink.

Cool.
I did that exact thing for for my DC Sports 4-2-1.
You will defintely have to run some extra wire for the O2 sensor on the driver's side.
I even cut a little bit off a 'tab' sticking out of the bottom of the block, to make room for the O2 sensor. Aluminum smells bad when you use a die cutter to cut it.

The header with the 2 bungs in that post looks good to me.

Yeah, pretty much.
I had a guy weld a couple bolt nuts on there and then drilled and tapped them for the O2 sensors.
But my 4-2-1 is an older style 2 piece.
Anyway, the effect is the same.

how is the flow on that header vs the dc or any other aftermarket?

edit

also i'm curious about people who get those chipped ecu's that eliminate the second o2 sensor. how does that affect anything? does this cause 2 cylanders to lean out as well?
