Default old school swap question

I got an 83 honda civic that came with a 1.3l carbed (pos) but it was swapped for a 1.5 carbed (pos). This motor is now destroyed(RIP) and I want to swap it out for a fuel injected d-series. I know I will have to convert the fuel lines and I got a lot of wiring a head of me. But my question is will a d-series bolt in because that is what every one has told me and I know all d-series stuff is pretty interchageable (except the d16a1) because I thought one would but when I look in the engine the mounts are way diifferent looking than on my 91 si. like not even remotely close to how they are. can any one tell me what I will need to do to put a d-series in that bitch thanx

He said 83. It's the 84-87 civics/crxs that have mounts similar to the d16a1 from 86-89 tegs. Just an FYI.

Good correction. If I were you, Goat, I'd look at an '84-'87 Civic or CRX to see if the mounts are similar enough to allow you to use one of those engines. I have my doubts that they'll be that easy to swap in, but they're probably going to be closer than the later cars.
