I need a new tranny, and i know someone selling a b16 tranny, but the only problem is 3rd gear grinds.... he is selling it for 350, do you think it's worth it?? and how much would it cost to fix the 3rd gear??

 

how bad is the grind, if its not bad then i would buy it and put in som Gm syncromesh, the 3rd gear grind is a common problem

 

thanks for the reply, i just wanted to know around how much it'll cost cause i can get a gsr one for 400, but the b16 has shorter gears.... Um from whaty he told 3rd gear is bad...

 

i would get the gsr tranny! if its gringing bad then u need new synchros (sp) and would def. be more a good buck! so i say pickl up the gsr tranny if its in mint cond.
