Ok so I have made a few other posts regarding this r6 im going to buy and i promise this is my last one haha. Anyways it comes with a set of PIRELLI SUPERCORSA SC1 track tires on it. How long should I expect them to last on the street. Is it unsafe to use them. He is throwing in another set of tires but I might as well wear these out before I put those ones on. What do you guys think?

I have riden before I owned a bike before this one. Do you guys think I should just slap on the other basic tires right away before I start riding. I am going to be doing 60+ miles a day on the freeway to and from school.

 

Yeah if you're using the bike for mainly commute then you might as well save the track tires for say... the track. They're nice and soft so they're great fo the street if you like to ride aggressively but yeah they'll wear out a lot quicker than your standard street tires.

The only peopel I know with race tires on their street bikes only ride twisties and never commute. If the tires have a lot of rubber left on them Id save them for a track day otherwise just wear em out unless its pretty dirty or sandy on your roads. If so I'd change em out and sell em.

 

You don't need track tires on the street, thats why they call them track tires.
