Default p28 ecu for hondata

can you just use a stock p28 ecu for hondata or does it have to be chipped to for dohc engines...i know the stock p28 was for sohc, but does hondata eliminate that and just make it dohc

its chipped in the same manner for both uses. just instead of any dohc program
you put the hondata program.

I heard it might be even better than the p28 is that true or are they just want to make a sale. Actually they want me to give them my stock untouched p28 and $100 bucks for a p30 prechipped already for the hondata.

Another thing is I just got stage3 hondata w/ a preprogramed chip for my p28 (JUN3 cam setup)... will that chip work fine with the p30 with out any probs or does it have to be reprogramed again, but this time for the p30?

You will probably notice no difference.
and yes, you will have to get a new program made for a p30

If I get it reprogramed for the p30, is there any advantages or disadvantages in using the p30 over the p28. Or should I just stick with the p28?

Thanks

advantage, you spent the 100 bucks on a functioning knock sensor that does
almost nothing. Otherwise, no performance gain whatsoever.
