Alright, I know this is probably going to get a lot of fire for asking, but I can't find it by searching posts. I own a '92 Accord with a 5sp trans. I am going to change the fluid, but I can't for the life of me find the proper fluid type in my Haynes manual. Can anybody help me out with the proper fluid type and or brand preference? Thanks...

Thanks.......now a comparison, I've been reading that some Honda owners actually prefer the GM Synchro mesh. Any truth to this? If so any thoughts?

 

I would stick with Honda MTF

 

honda mtf is recommended for 96+ honda trannys. 95 and before can use 10w-30...

 

How much a quart?

 

Honda wanted $16 a quart for their stuff.

that's ******* insane. Surely there is some type of gear oil you can use that's cheaper...
