d16 build
yes it will work and is much better than the shitty "paper" a6 style gaket, it will raise compression slightly and using the layered metal style gasket makes it more important to have the head and block surfaces perfectly flat to ensure a good seal
oh and the y8 i believe is a 3 layer HG, no need to remove the middle layer like some do, it wont raise the compression any significant amount and decreases the sealing ability by my logic....honda made it 3 layers for a reason and i have faith in honda engineering

I have been told that B16A2- head gasget will fit to D16- Dohc engine (D16a9). Only modification is one oil/ water hole?
Is this rumour true or what?
I've got to replace the gasket in next week because of my head port & polish. But i dont know witch gasket i should use.
Thanks

I can get the original gasket when ever i want or where ever i want. The A9 is used in any Dohc Civic and CRX's. But i just thought what could be better. The A9's gasget is paper, but the B16A2's is metal.
