Default Which IACV after MPFI conversion?

I've finished my MPFI conversion but the idle is eratic. I unplugged the IACV and the idle dropped right down so i think i've found my problem. my question is which IACVs will work? any OBD0? or from what years/models? just want to make sure i get the right part.

when the IACV is unplugged and the idle drops is that good or bad? Also can a IACV be bad even if the computer is not throwing the code for it?
