Would this work?
Okay, I've gone through so many diff combo's this week. Here's the story:
Currently, there is a 91 Si flywheel on my DOHCZC. I'm using the 91 SI pressure plate[Exedy or something aftermarket]. I got an 89 DX trans and it wouldn't fit, the output shaft had more splines or less than the clutch disk. So, I swapped the disks from another year. Everything went back together fine, but when I started the car and let the clutch out, nothing grabbed. Didn't even try to move it felt like it was slipping like crazy. 5th and Reverse almost felt like they were going to engage but wouldn't. Could this be that my pressure plate has alot of high/low spots? I have pics, but no way to host them since we-todd is down, anyone who wants to host aim me = HolyHell116. Somebody help me out ! lol, thanks - Darrell

Let's set some Premises first:
1)88 & 89 Clutches had 200mm Disks (Maybe 188, but I don't remember where I heard that number)
2)90 & 91 Clutches had 212mm Disks
3)If a 90/91 PP was used with a 88/89 Disk it would be too large
4)Only 88 had a different spline count.
Now I leave it up to someone else to construct this into a valid argument/explanation.

Okay, well if the clutch disk is supposed to be the exact same circumference as the pressure plate then the clutch disk which I had on there before, the supposed 91 disk is actually smaller than the disk which I am 100% Sure is a 1989 Honda Crx 1.5L clutch disk. So I hope someone can clear this up. Maybe the '91' disk was an 88, I don't know for sure since I got it used somewhat. I just want to know if I can mix a diff clutch disk with a diff pressure plate and it grab, not great but enough to drive. - Darrell
