Default Integra rack in an ef?

I want power steering in my ef, I can get the entire system from a 2nd gen integra.

I'm not too worried about the pump but does the rack fit? Ideally I want to keep the same tie rod ends too since mine are new.

Thanks

-------------edit--------------------

I found a 3rd gen integra gsr rack complete with pump and resevoir for free. The thing has been outside for about a year with one line cut (pump to resevoir). How sensitive are these parts to water?

i dunno, put them next to each other if you can, however i doubt it'll work, if i remember right the integra is slightly wider(?) maybe that's just taken up in the tie rod ends. try finding the rack off a civic 90-91 ex, those are the civic you're looking for and have power steering.

You could get a rack from a automatic std hatch, they had power steering. and why your at it you could grab everything else you need from the same car like power sterring pump. brackets, hoses etc

And as far as the integra rack goes im unsure if it will fit

you need the whole cross member that the rack is in, so i doubt the integra one will work. however, just about any 88-91 civic sedan will have what you need. just make sure to get the rack, x-member, pump, reservoir, and lines.

and you can still use your tie rod ends

I may be mistaken but I think someone here (or AF) did it but had to swap tie rod ends, cant remember if its dx or si tie rod ends that are shorter, but he had to swap out to the opposite of what he had, and it worked.

I kinda doubt the teg unit will work. Isn't the track wider??

Damn I wish you were closer to me, I'm dying to get rid of the power steering in my sedan and am having a helluva time finding the parts locally.

BTW it's being said that you'll need a larger rear xmember to accomodate the power rack.....

If its free, go ahead and get it, if for nothing else but to sell if you don't use it. If you do get it, call around to the local auto parts stores till you find one with a civic manual rack in stock, then take the integra power rack there and compare them, and compare the integra and civic tie rod ends, I may be mistaken, but I've read there are different versions for each body style, dunno though. Nobody yet has said that they have tried and it didn't work. You may have to ditch the tie rod ends you are wanting to keep though to make it work. There are a lot of people here who have been told that something will not work, only to find out that no one had accually tried what they were asking about. Keep us posted as to your results if you try it.
