Default Anyone else here have h&r race?

I've tried searching, and no one has really covered this...

I have h&r race springs on my 90' Si with stock shocks, and the thing is just too rough. Not really bouncy, just really really stiff. Does anyone else have the same springs? Would some decent shocks help it, or is the spring rate just too high for a comfortable daily driver. What setup would offer similar drop but still a smooth ride.

TIA.

I got them and yes they are just stiff as hell, ive blown a set of tokico blues, gr-2,s and illuminas with these springs. I think the only thing that might handle these springs is koni yellows. All the other shocks lasted 3 months tops.

Gah. Did the shocks help soften the ride up at all? Did you ever run them on stock shocks?

Oh, and which of the shocks did you like the best?

well of course the illuminas felt the best, i had the setting on 3. Those were the best but just to harsh of a spring with too much of a drop. I dont recomment tokico blues or gr2 shocks to anyone with any kind of drop

I have H&R on my PRELUDE and I love them. For my CRX I use the Skunk2 Drag Coilovers and Illunias and it's harsh. But that is the way I like. Try Tein, I have heard their springs are really nice.

Well on my Prelude I have Sprint Extreme's and it's a really nice ride. Firm yet soft, and really low. It's alot lower the the CRX.

I want something as low (or lower) the the h&r race's, but still comfortable. Because seriously, the CRX rides like it's on wood blocks.

im probably buying the sprint extremes for my rex here next week, they lower 2.5 front 2.25 rear, thats 1/4 inch lower all around from the H&R race, and they are probably not as stiff....
