2point6's CB7 Is going even faster...
I have made some new changes to my current set-up, which I believe will help me solidify my 12 sec passes for those who think I just got lucky. Let me explain... People doubt my legitimacy based on 2 things, My E.T. (12.94) and trap speed (104.77). There is a lot of speculation because many claim my trap speed is too low... well, I base this "low" trap speed on the poor gearing of the M2B4 trans. During these passes, I was shifting into 4th close to the finish line, putting my RPM's relatively low (around 6000 RPM). To remedy this I recently aquired a T2T4 tranny. The different gearing should help increase my RPM's through the traps. I already experimented with smaller slicks, but my 60ft times slowed from 1.8 to 2.0, however my trap speeds were up almost 2.5MPH. I have yet to put the tranny on my car, but will expect similiar results in MPH, but hoping to pull even quicker 60ft times. We will see soon. I will be out at LACR for testing in the next couple of weeks as the car is in California working on my next modification.
Collective Racing has teamed up with Iceman. We are currently developing an intake that actually works. Flow results are already superior to a similiar 3" AEM CAI. The flow characteristics and the insulation properties of the plastic will make this product a hot item for those looking for every edge over the competition. Currently this intake is designed with the 90-93 Accord in mind, but we will be developing this for the Prelude owner as well. For the NOPI event, a special "Air Force" ram air induction will be made (for the Accord) which preliminary testing has showed well over 1.2Lbs of boost at 80 MPH. Believe me, this makes a difference on the track. This "Air Force" system and Accord intake will be exclusive to Collective Racing. They will be sold as "Collective Racing edition by Iceman". There will be other H22/H23 parts availible soon including an intake manifold.
OK... enough with my sales pitch, other changes to my car will be in the form of a rear difuser that will keep my rear bumper from acting like a giant air brake as it currently does.
With all these changes happening, this makes my car even closer to an all out track car which I have been avoiding. The car is still functional and I intend to keep it that way. The changes will be subtle, but should make a profound difference in my times. We will see. I will keep you updated for those interested.

very impresive mang....theres one thing i love about your car....you dont what you want in terms of style, and are more concerned with making a more powerful, funner to drive street car that can dominate at the strip...unlike 90% of guys on here who dump similar amounts of money into their cars just to show it off in appearance forum
The 1.2 lbs of boost is a figure from the Civic "airforce" product...
The CB-7 Accord has much more 'real-estate' therefore the frontal area is larger... In theory, this should force even more air into the system than the Civic possibly creating even more boost...
Just a thought tho
Good Job Scooter!
