Default obd 1 pr3

i have been doing some research on this ecu and first of all it does exist 92-93 integra xsi ecu.
but my question is does vtec really kick in at 6200 and if so would it beneficial to switch to a p30 wich is supposed to kick at 5500 or have my pr3 chipped or a vafc (if that will work) for a lower engaging point.

Vtec xover varries so much on the engine setup, and every engine is a little different, its tuff to say.

Me for example.... Im using a chip that was tuned with uberdata on the dyno from someone with an identical setup. This is a good basemap, but its not perfect. My vtec cross is 5,300.

obd1 pr3's are hard to find, if i were u i would just get a chipped p28, it does the job just as good and it cuts the knock sensor aswell...

as for chip, it depends on ur setup...

the pr3 obd1 sux, its rare and not too many people even know that they exist. they are huge as well which makes it hard to fit under the cover plate. i got a p30 and i'm happy with it. i payed 150 for the p30. i'm not sure how much the pr3 is worth but i'll sell you mine, lol. don't spend too much time tripping on the pr3 though mine made 145hp to the wheels even with a bad ignitor and the high vtec x-over, i had a dyno chart in my sig. i would do the intake header exhust and then think about the ecu. do those things first then get a good chipped p30 or 28 to run it and you will be happy with the resualts

if you have b 16 cams i would change them before the ecu and then change vtec i did 148hp to the wheels with an obd 0 pr3

Just get it chipped and set the VTEC lower to maybe 5200-5500 if you cannot afford a new ecu.

I dunno. Not much to tune with only i/h/e. Maybe if you get some cams then get it tuned.

yeah pr3 obd1 sucks in my opinon cause of the high vtec change over. but then again i never used it on the motor it was intended to be for which being the 92-93 integra xsi that came with it. I tried a vtec controllor on mine i hateed it i used the boxer vtec controller it just screwed it up. Get some cams and use a stock p72 obd1 u will love it. better fuel curve and vtec change over is at 4400RPMs. What is the change over vtec point for a p30??? does any no??? post if u do thanks

It x-over at 5700 but because all honda tachs are off a little it looks different to everybody.
