Buy this Bike?
Yo, I came across an opportunity to buy an '02 R6 for $5400 OTD. It has a cracked right fender as well as paint chips on various parts of the bike. The dealer guy said that he is going to replace the fender and fix all cosmetic damages, as well as replace the tires and make sure its mechanically functional and safe.
The thing is that, the bike came with a salvaged title. When asked, the dealer guy said that he wasn't sure why it was salvaged, but it came like the condition that it was in. I was wondering, if this bike was salvaged from a wreck, wouldn't there be more damage sustained to the bike than just a broken fender and some scratches? I really want this bike, but I'm not sure if a salvaged R6 would be worth $5400?
Should I go and get this bike? I haven't decided if I'm going to hold onto this bike for a few years or sell it within a year and get another one, but I'm sure I'll get less $$ for it since its salvaged.
Help guys! Should I go w/ it? oh btw, its my 1st bike.

agreed with all.... too much for a salvaged R6.
BTW: Bikes are soooooo easy to fix. Bike parts are more easily replaceable than car parts (which are usually repaired instead of replaced). Looks can be deceiving! If I knew a bike has been down or even worked on, I would be more worried about stuff being straight and/or aligned (i.e. frame, forks, wheels, etc).

aiite, thanks you guys. BTW, for that particular bike, what would you think its worth for someone to buy it from the dealer? Wait, also, in CA, you don't have to pay sales tax when u register it if you bought it from a dealership right? But you do have to pay tax after you buy it from a private seller?
