99 civic keeps throwing 01 code even after Oxygen sensor Replacement, anyone?
Today i changed my primary oxygen sensor. I bought the Denso universal for my civic. I have the blue from the new sensor running to the green wire on the stock harness. i have the white ran to the white and i have that 2 black wires put togeter wththe corresponding wire on the origional harness(how it was hooked up before). Even after reseting the ecu, its still throwing the 01 code. has anyone had this happen to them? when i reset the ecu, the CEL would be off for a minute or 2 and then would turn back on again and i would get the same 01 code. any information would be helpful
are you sure its not checking a code 10 instead of 1....Intake Air Temp Sensor....i dunno what else to tell yah. good luck
yeah im sure. its the oxygen sensor becasue i tested the voltage and all myself and got a high voltage reading and then i took my car to autozone and their scanner read the computer and it said that it was high voltage on bank 1 oxygen sensor 1
what did u do to reset your ecu? just pull the fuse? im not 100% on this put i was told this by a friend, to reset the ecu, pull the fuse, take the positve and negative side battery cabble and touch them together, it will spark and then that clears the memory, then put the **** back on plug fuse in and try it... hope this helps, if not diregard and sorry for my stupid wrong info.
first of all i am haveing the exact same problem i dont think its a code 1 tho auto-zone diagonics are diff. is it the o2 in the cat?

this would just cause a short and blow fuses...to reset either put the back-up fuse or the negative battery terminal.
i know this doesnt help but i am have the same problem with my 00 si

I have the same prob. The dealership said they fixed it and nope the didn't. Well I had a friend pull up a TSB and he said the ECU is a common prob. It has something to do with it not reading in certain ranges. Hope that helps you. Hopefully mine gets fixed tomorrow under warranty.
