it's pretty big...

the length of the bag covers your entire back down to the tail bone (for me at least, i'm 5 8')...

You can strap your helmet to the back with holder which is integrated into the bag.

Length wise it's around 20 inches, from side to side (measuring from the bottle holders it's around 14-15inches), this is flat with nothing in it.

Will it fit over a jacket with a significant amount of armor?

I tried putting a backpack on over my JR Alter Ego the other day, and let's just say I ended up stretching my cargo net to its fullest potential.

It means he payed a lot. And if I remember correctly, it was something about taking it to the low side on some gravel.

i don't know for sure. but it fit over my alpinestars bostrom jacket fine. it has 2 shoulder straps that cross over your chest (x-pattern) plus a waist belt, it's really secure.

yes i was referring to my sissy of a lowside.

the bag is pretty big and has alot of space to put your stuff it. the only thing i dont like about the back is the helmet carrier. other than the bag is worth it if you ride alot and carry alot of stuff with you, like books and **** or even a lap top. you shouldnt have a problem putting this bag over your jacket. I have the black and gray ones..matches nice with my bike
